A Sri Lankan company namely M/s Khiards Jewellery Co participated in the Singapore International Jewellery Expo, held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Singapore from 14th to 17th July 2022. The Singapore International Jewellery Expo (SIJE) is recognised as the signature and most sustainable jewellery event in Singapore and it offers exhibitors the unique opportunity to tap into the rapidly evolving jewellery market of Asia and to meet potentially wealthy private customers, who come from China and India in addition to Singapore.120 exhibitors from 20 countries participated at SIJE in 2022 and more than 5,000 gem traders and visitors attended the event during the 04 days.
The Sri Lanka High Commission in Singapore has given due publicity for the event through the Gem Traders Association of Singapore as well as the Chambers requesting Singapore gem importers to visit the exhibition and meet the Sri Lankan company.
The officials of the High Commission visited the Sri Lankan booth and expressed their appreciation to the company as the company has participated at the exhibition at their cost, to expand exports and earn much needed foreign currency for Sri Lanka.
