The global economy is seeing major shifts as Covid 19 exposed the vulnerability of supply chain disruptions. In fact shipping and logistics were critical functions during the Covid period that kept the global economy moving and made essential supply chains sustain, across the world.

There are new challenges identified and the need for new technologies and re-assessment of logistics services to accommodate trade shifts and to support supply chain stability. The Colombo international Maritime & Logistics Conference 2022, will focus on these developments in shipping, ports and logistics and how they would impact the regional trade, as well as the economic consequences to the five trillion dollar global transport and logistics industry. The conference will have a number of themes covering all aspects, including human resources and environment.
