High Commissioner HE Senarath Dissanayake, graced the Indian Performing Arts Convention (IPAC) 2024 awards ceremony as one of the guests of honor at the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay on 29th September 2024, along with the High Commissioner of India HE Dr. Shilpak Ambule. This year’s IPAC was presented by Apsaras Dance Company, Singapore from 7th to 29th September.
It was heartening that some of the award recipients were of Sri Lankan origin – Mrs Radha Gopal Shetty, Mrs Thavamalar Gunaratnam (from the Temple of Fine Arts, Malaysia) and Mr. A. Sachithanthan (former Vice President of the Singapore Fine Arts Society). Congratulations to all the award recipients.
Congratulations to Mr Aravinth Kumarasamy, the Artistic Director of Apsaras Dance Company, Singapore who is a proud Sri Lankan Singaporean. He has been convening this convention in Singapore and Australia for the past 13 years.
